This pageant was created to support the Backpack Pals of Lee County, located in Sanford, NC.

The items need to be individually wrapped non-perishable items, pop-top if applicable, and that are not expired.

These items should be ones that are easy for children to open.

Each contestant is required to bring 3 items from the list as part of the registration requirement.

All items are due the day of the pageant and should be in a bag that is labeled with the contestant name and number of items in the bag.

A check sheet should be attached on the outside of the bag (and inside of the bag in-case the outside check-sheet falls off), that gives this information.The items are listed below, but if you would like to bring something not on the list, please let me know and I will see if it is needed. Thanks

Backpack Pals provides food to children that are having food insecurity. The children are given backpacks on Fridays filled with food so they can have meals over the weekend.

Macaroni and Cheese (NOT BOX, Individual )
Fruit cups
Applesauce
Pudding pre-made
Juice Boxes
Pop Tarts
Cereal Bars
Cereal (Individual boxes/bowls)
Granola Bars
Cookie (individual bagged)
Cup of Soup

*for purposes of determining Ambassador the items will be counted as 1 item per pre-packaged item. For example if you have a pack of applesauce with 6 individual cups it will be counted as 1 item and not 6.
